XBOX 360 NAT issues

Postby Lord of all Joy on Mon Jun 09, 2008 7:50 am

Hi all,

I'm not particularly tech-savvy, so I could do with a little help.

I tried to race last night (after no on-line racing for about a month) and couldn't connect to any lobbies. I checked my network settings & the NAT was 'moderate'. So I had to fire up my computer to check the router (I'm on a belkin wireless G+ I think) & it seems that my XBOX has changed IP address from xxx.xxx.2.3 to xxx.xxx.2.2!

So first question - how did it do that? I'm assuming that it's because we had a seires of power-cuts last week as nothing else has changed - but I'm open to suggestions.

So I changed the DMZ (demilitaried zone) to the XBOX's new IP address, restarted everything, and checked again - still moderate - ahhhhh!

I'm out of my knowledge zone now - I have no idea how to make this work - any suggestions?

Thanks guys...

look at this, maybe it helps :)

Cheers Achill,

I'll give it a go later - now I've calmed down (XBOX nearly left my house via the window last night!)

Try turning off your modem and router ,leave for a minute ten turn back on.This happens to me sometimes where my NAT is moderate but when I've reset the system it normally sorts it out.If that doesn't work check your settings are on automatic or check your router for xbox live compatability on the microsoft site
