Vodafone THR would like to thank culchi on his hard work at Silverstone despite nothaving the support of the rest of the team.
Due to logistical and technical issues the majority of THR was unable to make the first race of the season leaving new signing culchi to fly the flag solo.

Culchi, a late signing to the team, will continue to race using the Audi R8 he inherited at the closure of his previous team and will be operating from the second race under full Vodafone THR livery.
Chief designer and team owner jenson09 had this to say:

"Each car in the team carries a sligtly different livery to best reflect its character and make the most of its design. Even the Gallardos to be used by myself and Nephnie are subtly different. I am pretty pleased with how the Audi has turned out but you will all have to wait and see what it looks like at Sebring!"

The likelyhood is that THR will be ot all guns blazing for the seconfd meeting after suffering th loss of at least oneothergood points finish from a second driver.
It is expected that both TVRFn and jenson09 will be dropping the Silverstone event as one of their non-points finishes at the end of the season.
Roll on Sebring and the true start of the campaign.

News - 23rd June

Jamie Wynder can reveal he might be changing his car very soon to something with a bit of rear wheel drive action. However when asked, why he might be changing car he had this to say:

"I was hoping the 911 Turbo would do me very well, mainly because of the engine being in the rear of the car. But still that cannot solve some of the understeer I want to get rid off, even if I worked on trying to get rid of it.

However in the last race I improved the car a bit, but not as much as I would of wanted."

What nation will the car be from? "It might be a British Car, that is all I can reveal."

THR fought through an awful Sunset weekend to minimal points hauls. The hopes of a good result lay with leam leader jenson09, but they were dashed on lap 2 with the Gallardo rolling to a halt on the pit straight with terminal engine trouble.
jenson09 had this to say:

The weekend looked to be coming to us, testing went really well and I thought we could be in the top half of the second lobby maybe even in the first with some luck.
Qualy just didn't happen at all. Had one ok-ish lap and screwed up the second in the twisty stuff when I grazed a wall.
The race was ok, I got an ok start but going into the first hairpin I just closed on Highroft too quickly, I didn't think he'd brake so early. We touched and I waited fro him to rejoin as is my way but I could hear something wasn't right with the engine. Sure enough coming onto the main straight the car just ground to a halt. I still don't know why, its possible I broke something in the radiators but its unclear. The car's gone back to the factory for a check over. We've suffered too much this season sofar and its tough. But we'll be back at the next round fighting fit. I know my team mate is sizing up some other cars but we will see as to whether we follow suite. I want to give the Gallardo the benefit of the doubt for now.

News - 27th June

Jamie Wynder today confrimed, that the car he might be changing too is the TVR Tuscan R. Mainly because it has a good amount of total weight and BHP in standard forum.

Other then that the Tuscan R has more racing experince then a Sagaris. However when asked if he will be fully using a Tuscan R in the coming weeks, he revealed that the swap may happen.

Update

Jamie Wynder has now revealed he is still doing more testing with the 911 Turbo, so he can try to make it understeer less for the next race. And well J.Wynder said with a happy grin:

"The car is handling even better now".

But still he reckons he can maybe improve it more.

Following the news that culchi has left the team, Vodafone THR can announce that there is a third seat in the team up for grabs.

All applicants should apply to either TVR Fan or jenson09

In a double whammy jenson09 announced that he too was reviewing new cars for a possible attack later in ther championship.

"While I can't comment on what cars are under review I can say there are three main contenders at the moment. The season hasn't really gotten off to the right start. The issues at Sunset was too much and we really need good results now."

Paddock rumours fly about the cars THR, the reason this series exists, are planning on testing.
Many focus on the use of culchis vacated R8, while others look to American cars as he basis for the a THR revival mid-season.
The US link makes most sense following the not unsuccessful use of the GT500 in season 1. Though the strong word aimed towards Shelby byt team owner jenson09 negate a return there.
However, the teams strong links to Ferrari cannot be ignored either. They have significant sucess in club racing with the F430 and recently with a modified 599 GTB.

Rest assured as soon as any facts arise we wll bring them too you.

The series only female driver had her S2 debut at Mugello yesterday.
LilMissNephnie, the second THR Gallardo driver was unable to biuld on her debut S1 podium finish.
Despite a lacklustre qualifying which left her nearly a second slower than the car's testing times, Nephnie rose to the challenge and found hersel fighting for podium place from the first lap.
All was looking well for the THR driver who was enjoying a strong fight with UsR PR3DATOR and team mate TVR Fan until lap 12 when another mechanical failure sidelined her from the event.
Nephnie was unavailable for comment but jenson09 had this to say.

"'I've spoken with Nephnie about the race and it's sad beacuse she was clearly very strong, the car was working well and she had some experienced drivers behind her. The only thing that seemed to not be with her was luck! That seems to have evaded both of us so far this season. She's notdown hearted though and plans to bounce back later in the series."

Series regular jenson09 will return to the wheel of his Gallardo for the next round at Road Atlanta in two weeks.

9th July

Jamie Wynder today spoke that he might be finally changing the car for the next round or Round 6. Mainly because of the 911 Turbo still needs it's understeer sorted.

However he did say he may still be in a AWD car if he changes to something else, that or it will be a return to a RWD car. Other then that Jamie Wynder also revealed that THR has been talking to one unnamed driver so far about taking up the slot left by Culchi.

TEAM FEATURE

THR:
Originally known as Team Hunter Racing, the dream of team owner Matt Hunter has been in existance in some form since 1999.
It has carried its distinctive red, silver and black livery since 2004 and is a reminder of team owner Matt Hunter's roots as a member of the Cardiff Uni Motorsports who shared similar colours.

Aiming for Formula One stardom the team made great strides in its first foray into professional motorsport...right at the top in 2000.
Armed with Honda power and a strong chassis the car peformed well in its first competitions and ran in the mid-field consistantly until the team withdrew in 2004

THR then spread its wings into GT racing in 2005, taking part in the FIA GT Championships using Ferrari 550 Maranellos, then Aston Martin DBR9's. While the team never won the championship it gained alot of respect among race goers and drivers alike with a number of podiums and strong race strategy.
Jenson09 is the main driver in the team and has taken part in evey series THR enters. Despite Formula One and FIA GT racing he rates the current championships as the hardest he has taken part in.

Mid 2007 and THR enterd the FLMS series based lrgely in the US. This was to be the team first shot with its Ferrari F430 which had proven both quick and consistant. The series never got off the ground and the F430 was shelved.

Early in 2008 THR, through the Prodrive European Race Team organisation gained an entry to the ETCC and made up a three man team to support the main PERT squad. The drivers Marchie, jenson09 and Scare360 had a tough time with the relatively new SEAT Cupra 07 but only jenson09 really struggled to get to grips with it.

THR, now Vodafone THR, is in its second year of British GT raciing the Lamborghini Gallardo. Results are shakey but th team is not put off. Remember they brought the 'lively' Shelby Mustang to some very strong finishes and nearly finished very high in the championship. With only one regular driver and two one off appearances from LilMissNephnie and UsR PR3DATOR
This year the team boasts two regular drivers (jenson09 and TVR Fan) and one share driver in Nephnie.
The team has also branched out in 2008 to incorporate the BTCC, Le Mans Series ans the GRID World Open wheel Championship.

Following the destruction of the Weston super Mare Grand Pier today, witnessed by many on the news, THR is announcing that in support of its home town it wll run a special livery at the next round of the BGT.

The Grand Pier is a central part of the seaside community and a major landmark on the coastal landscape. Its loss will be keenly felt in the town. THR feels as much a part of the community as any company based her and it will support the town in anywy it can. The move to make up a specia livery is the first step to providing a global exposure for Weston.

While no details can yet be given on the livery, it is known that many of TH's corporate partners have agreed to forego space on the car for the upcoming race.

More like candyfloss and some kids wont have anywhere to play air hockey!!

Seriously though its an amazing construct and to have it just go like that is bloody bizarre and very sad for the town, especially at this time of the year!

Did it collapse? Is the pier still standing? Can they rebuild it?
If in doubt, flat out - Colin McRae

No as its privatly owned now. Thats the main reason why theres hope it won't take an age to do up.
Just depends on the structure and the financial clout of the owners and backers.
I think alot of people in Weston wil be happy to put dosh into repairing it.
Heres a fairly good shot of the scale of the blaze.
From my house I could see the smoke as if it were coming from a house two blocks away! Thick black and trailing for miles. My mum who works in the local radio station rushed to the scene but I dunno what she got to see.
