Hi everyone,
For next season I'll be looking at other aspects of GRID and other games for the side championship area of the season.I've recently started looking at NASCAR 09 as a possibility.I'm currently looking into the details of this game as possible side championship for next season .If anyone has played this game or has any opinions about this game post here.

Co-running my own racing-game-news website (x360racer.com), I've written a couple things about this game (Nascar 09) and checked its evolution.

Seems to be much better than Nascar 08, which is a good thing and offer cool features such as a making your very own livery uploading images through EA servers but the reviews I read (IGN, TXB...) were not really enthusiastic.

For future championships, a couple possibilities have arisen recently...first from Blimey, have you guys seen the pics of their "Ferrari Project" ? It looks mighty fine and for those who dont know, Blimey worked on GT Legends, GTR and GTR2 among other things and yes, its coming to X360.
Ferrari Project looks as if it will feature 8 players online.

Still from Blimey is the XBLA game "Kart Attack" which first screenies looked too cool to be Arcade and you got to love playing without the noise of the dvd drive...

Second on the list is SIMBIN! Race Pro is coming and will feature 12 players races with various FIA championships, the perfect way to patiently wait until FM3.

:)

Ive done some digging and found some info On the SIMBIN game.If the rumors are correct It could be a major Forza Rival, but it would definately be a brilliant side championship.SIMBIN however seem to be denying the rumours.

Yeah I forgot about the Lewis Hamilton game !

At the end of the day seems some great games will be coming up this fall.
In a totally different style there is Pure Off Road which looks mighty fun though completely unrealistic.
Baja is also coming for Buggy racers.

If your buddy James gets some news in advance please let me know ;)

Hmmmm.... on the face of it VERY exciting and certainly worth waiting for. BUT I've been fooled before by SimBin and 360 gaming.
Don't get e wrong I am AMAZED by the Simbin games and have most of them plus a plethora of GTR mods and updates that I loooove.
BUT until the game actually resides on my shelf I'll not hold my breath.

On a side note.... how many other people got a special edition of GRID?
I can't find it in the stores or online and none of my mates seem to have it.
Wierd... not that I'm complaining!!!!

Race Pro will OWN ...

... Hopefully RE define the simulation racing on Xbox360 and show those Turn10 guys that they better get their act together to produce a massivelly massive Forza 3.

13 tracks is not a lot...but I really can't wait for Race Pro and I'm sure they'll play the DLC game.

Let's hope for more infos, first videos and a demo but it will probably be a day one purchase for me, I'm kind of bored with Forza to be honest...

13 Tracks is a bit worrying I have to say.I'm assuming there will be downloadable track packs.Saying that they will have to have all of the WTCC tracks if they are supporting the championship.

If Race Pro operates WTCC and FIA GT's then 13 tracks isn't anywhere near enough!

The list as I see it (off the top of my head) would be:
Brands Hatch
Pau
Macau
Oschersleben (sp)
Magny Cours
Estoril
Mexico
Argentina
Paul Ricard
Spa
Zandvoort
Monza
Imola (?)
Misano (?)
Adria
Bucharest
Zuhai

Thats all I can think of at the moment but yes... more than 13!
It is also odd that Simbin is denying it if Atari has announced it. Like I said before, I don't get Simbin when it comes to console gaming. They say they will but rarely follow through on their word.

Another game that looks particularly good but that I don't think 360 gamers will see in a hurry if ever is the new Ferrari Challenge game on PS3 which I checked out the other day. Looks very good indeed and if its anything like the older games should handle incredibly realistically. Shame we won't get it :(

But yes this Race Pro looks to be the best bet for a few new series but we shall have to wait and see. I ain't getting my hopes up.
As for a karting game.... could be good for a laugh lol.

The Karting could be really good fun,a bit like the Fj1000's in GRID ! The only other game as a possible sub game could be the Lewis Hamilton game by EA ,but haven't heard anything about that yet.I'll talk to my friend who works at Mclaren and ask him if he's heard anymore news.
