Well, my wired controler seemed to work, but it is broken, so i dont know for sure. All i know is that it came up on the list of controllers so the computer has obviously recognised what it is.

Anyway, i have played the demo for about an hour, and even though i had to use the keyboard for controls, i have to say it is truly amazing!

the xbox controllers are in the compatable list but when I pluged mine in it didn't connect with the game even though the pc installed the driver for it.It should work with the adapter. The game is good isn't it.Trouble is ,having the time to play all these games ! :?

Lucky you!!! If only I had a PC that could run it :(

Check out the RSC website (I think thats right). They host ALOT of mods and updates for the GTR series and RACE.

Found some more up to date Race Pro news. It's pretty much the same as we already seen, and if i'm not mistaken looks remarkably like RACE 07 for the PC.They say it's out in the fall, well this autumn sounds too soon to me as its only 3 or so months away, but if it's based on RACE 07 which it looks like to me then all they need to do is tweak it for console gaming ,recode it and release it,the games already made.

Not sure if this is jumping the gun a bit but....I noticed that Pro Race Driver ( the US version of Toca Race Driver ) is now backwards compatible. Also I put my old xbox copy of Toca 3 in the 360 the other day and it downloaded an update for it.when I restarted it ,it it didn't support this game yet ! Now does this mean that they are going to add this game to the list? And if they did would it be online playable too ! If this is the case it could make things very interesting !

Ok so.....what can we draw from this???

1. The game is largely based around the WTCC series.
Possible catagories include:
WTCC
F3000
FBMW
Some form of GT racing (but NOT the FIA GT's.)

2. There are '13 tracks' including Macau (07-08), Porto (07) and Pau (07-08). Additionaly there is Road America (!) and Laguna Seca(?) in the game. So I doubt its the complete 07 calender in anycase...and certainly NOT 08.

3. 12 player online racing.... much more like it but still a little bit off a full WTCC grid.. not a problem though!

4. The fact the WTCC manufacturers mentioned don't include Honda makes me think this IS Race 07 for the 360.

5. We should get active weather, a realistic damage system and REALLY good, realistic racing.

Now, I'm still not going to get my hopes up BUT if this goes forward we are lookng at one of the BEST Race sims EVER to grace a console.

In game Dev walkthrough here:
http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ul5UMchLnR0&feature=related

Note he says 15 tracks NOT 13.
46 car models....300 cars in total (Not entirely sure how that works.)

12 player online, Hotseat mode, dynamic weather (!), realistic damage (limited but accurate). Shame the dude couldnt drive!!
The engine note sounds very good (something Simbin has ALWAYS been proficient at).
Excessiv penalties result in exclusion lol.

Out November 2008...expect that to maybe slip into December earliest or Jan. Though the game looks in a good stage of build so I might be being too harsh.

Framerate was impressive, the graphics are very good. Lense flare is ...eyecatching! and could play into races as could the dynamic weather. I will reserve judgement until the wet weather environment is revealed.
Is looking extremely good though ha to be said!!!!

Is definitely 2007 season unless tey update closer to Autumn. I can't make out quite what the feature car is though in the test. I think it's the 407.

Well it certainly looks promising doesn't it,and from the look of the demo its quite a way into development.I like the sound of the penalties, but that might be the single player game but it would be good if it was online. It looks very much like a hybrid of Race07 on the pc.I bought it last week and it works perfectly with a 360 controller,a word of warning if you are thinking of getting it though, you need a really high end gaming pc with a stonking graphics chip for it to look as good as the screen shots.i've got a dual core processor wth 2 GB of RAM , a 7900 nvidia chipset and for it to run smoothly i have to down grade the graphics and effects to about half of what they should be.So You might as well get a copy of Toca RD3 for the PS2.It's a great game though, just haven't had the time to play it.

Talking about RD3 ,I put it into the good old PS2 at the weekend and had a nostalgic hour on it.The question i would put to Codemasters is...Why on earth did you not do a Toca 4 for the 360 ????? Even on the good old PS2 the game is brilliant,it's got everything you want ,the cars ,tracks.Remember the first Toca, they had all the BTCC cars.Whoever used to work for them in those days...please give him his job back ...PLEASE !!
