Very rough initial report....

PR3DATOR BACK IN THE HUNT

Following on from his successful double wins at Suzuka, PR3DATOR drove a superb weekend in America to gain yet another double win and a second place.
The strong results were enough to leapfrog from 6th to second in the championship, splitting the two WKD drivers.
The form book looked to remain intact this time out as PR3D trouced the field in qualifying by nearly two seconds.

His closest challenger inevitably was BDR LUCKIER, who would gain two second places and the final win of the day follwing an agressive, determined drive from the back row, passing almost everyone by the bottom hairpin. Jenson09 must've felt picked on when both LUCKIER and PR3D stormed past as though he was not even moving! A slight ta being enouh to run the THR SEAT wide and allow the title leader and his challenger through.

The suprise of the meeting this time was the pace of the new Chevvy Cobalt piloted by Highcroft. It was perhaps disappointing that it was not able to take part in more of the races, a podium in the first being the highlight of Chelvrolet North America's weekend before technical issues ruined the rest of the day.

The battle behind belonged to the THR SEATS of jenson09 and TVR Fan with the Halfords drivers continuing to progress following the pre-Suzuka development work.
In all three races the battle for fourth was fought between the two team leaders, jenson09 and ck brenneke. Twice jenson09 out-performed the Civic of ck in what he described as two quite dull races. Not fast enough to catch the leading pair and quick enough to hold off the Civic behind, the SEAT driver's comments seemed accurate enough. Only an off on his otlap prevented jenson09 from completing a hattrick of fourth places. In the final race jenson09 had followed WKD driver MARCHIE off the circuit at the quick turns three and four losing enough time to ensure that ck brenneke would exit the pitlane narrowly ahead.

MARCHIE had a reletively quiet race weekend, collecting two third places after failing to start the first race of the day. His finishes ensuring that Team WKD remained top of the pile in the Teams Championship.

At the tail of the field the competition was no less fierce. TVR Fan and garyp fought tooth and nail to the very end, with the second Halfords man finally beating the number eight THR SEAT in race three.

As the series moves on to Mugello, the teams and drivers can clearly see where work needs to be done. The arrival of Hghcroft and some new teams making their debuts stands to add even more intrigue to this exciting premier series of the HiQ BTCC.
Will LUCKIER maintain his title lead for much longer? Will Team Halfords unlock the potential of their Civics on the long straights of Mugello? Will Highcroft be the fly in the ointment of the frontrunners and get a shok race win in his second event?
All these questions wll be answered soon.

More detailed race report to follow.....hopefully ;)
