yes, i also picked up on this jenson, im not being rude but the first thing i said to predator when we were in private chat was 'the standrads are poor'. Both me and predator got hit four times EACH, this-in turn-ruined race three for me, and probably for him too.

Just watched the race 3 replay. You were taken out the first time by Predator when you were rear-ended by him and ended up in the pits.

2nd time was when Predator and Wilksyno1 came together on the first corner, Predator came across into the side of Wilksyno1 and took him out, and you drove into Wilksyno1 as he went sideways.

3rd time was with TVR_Fan, just after you tapped him wide through the 3rd corner, he came back on track as you nosed in front for the 4th, and you turned in over his nose, which looks nothing more than what would be declared a racing incident in the real BTCC, particularly as you came off much better.

There wasn't much else rather than some minor argy-bargy and door panel bashing between yourself and others, none of which resulted in a loss of pace or track position.

Your car is also running with a boost pressure of 17.8psi, which indicates you were running modifications to your turbo. A Seat Leon with no turbo modifications has a boost output of 11.7~psi. Forced induction modifications are not permitted by the rules of the contest, which makes your car illegal. You weren't the only one however.
If in doubt, flat out - Colin McRae

ck refers to the VERY FIRST RULE in the rules and regs section.....

-Only cars up to 2.8-litres are permitted and they must be normally aspirated unless it came from the factory with forced induction.
The forced induction on permitted cars cannot be upgraded.

While the rules package IS to be tidied up for S2 this is VERY clear IMO.

Really? And I'm expected to hear you over all the chatter, shouting and hilarity and identify that it is you, and that it is me you are inside of? I assume you mean race three. I will review that and see at what point I hit you.

I also called for collisions to be put back on as you hosted race 1. I said it about half a dozen times. You still failed to notice, started the game, and we all had to quit back and restart it, despite my notification. That annoyed me.

EDIT - Having watched race three, we have two contacts in the first few laps. Both are carbon copies of each other - you dive for a gap inside of me as we take a corner, and I come across as I tighten my turn. You get knocked sideways a touch, in the first of them your front wheels get on the grass for a moment before you straighten up, then you continue. Neither time do you get put off the track or into barriers, and neither is any worse then what you did to wilksyno1.

The point is neither of our contacts were intentional rams, as I am sure you did not intend to take out Wilksyno1 or Jammy. But you still finished 2nd. How is that a spoiled race? How did that ruin it for you?

it was my race that was ruined, not phil's. lets just leave it now, there was too much contact, that was it. lets move on and not let it happen again.

thanks,

jammy

That is your decision, and no one wants to see you go.

However some contact is inevitable. There have been some pretty major incidents in previous races, particularly at Suzuka, yet we accepted them as part of the racing and got on with it. The real BTCC inevitably sees contact of some kind made frequently in every race, yet they get on with it. We are replicating the Forza version of the BTCC, and so we should expect it, and in some cases enjoy it.

So far the BTCC has been fun. But the fun was taken out of Mugello on Tuesday night, and not just because of the contact, but the general poor conduct of some of the competitors, off-track and on.

As a part of the BGTA governing body, we are looking at ways to expand the series, improve it and advertise it to bring in new competitors. We are not looking to push people out, alienate them or criticise them, but we must maintain order and the rules. The BTCC is a contact racing series, and that will not change. Expect it and accept it.

If a racing incident occurs that someone is aggrieved at, there is a stewards enquiry system set up. I personally record every race to review all incidents. If I am involved, someone else can pick up that mantle and make that call. There was only one incident from Tuesday that I have seen so far that gave me cause for concern as malicious intent, and it wasn't you or Jammy involved.

What did concern myself and Marchie as moderators of this forum was, as mentioned above, conduct within the lobbies and on the race track, the breakdown of the championship set up because some people either didn't listen or wanted to do it differently, and the use of illegal vehicles.

There are rules for this championship. If someone doesn't want to follow those rules, don't join in. Don't set out to spoil others' enjoyment, and don't try and circumvent the system.

We are currently debating declaring Mugello a non-scoring event. We will update when we reach a decision on this.

In the meantime, please bear in mind that this is the first meeting in the series where we have had issues. Don't make a snap judgment.

Regarding the BTCC race at Mugello on the 22nd July.

First of all, we at the BGTA want to make sure everyone has fun. To do this, we enforce rules and regulations to make for fair competition all around.

It has been determined through the use of replays and telemetry, that Champion, Jammy and Vortex were running illegal cars at some point in the event. This is a first offense, and so we ask you to please correct your cars for future races. If you are unaware of why your car is illegal, please ask a moderator.

Please also note that some liveries were not to championship standard either. You must make use of the official number boards and vinyls on your car. If you require these, please contact a BGTA official.

Second is regarding the behaviour of the drivers. During racing, can we please refrain from abusing, name calling and general swearing. It is very unpleasant, and the next offence by ANYONE will not be tolerated.

Next is regarding racing etiquette. The BTCC in real life does have contact, and unless intentional should be treated as a racing incident. If you feel you have been hit intentionally, or by through poor driving from another person, then would you please send a PM to a moderator, or make use of the stewards enquiry subforum. We will only deal with these issues if you use the official channels.

Finally, is about attitudes towards the rules. During a race, asking for the moderator in charge to alter the rules to suit you, and to confuse people about them is unacceptable. These rules have been considered, and if you are unhappy with them, raise your concern with a moderator. This issue ruined the grid line-up in two of the races. The decision of the moderator in charge is final.

Considering all of these things, the BGTA has concluded that NO points will be scored at this round. There will be NO appeal to this decision. If you have any complaints about this, please PM a BGTA official to discuss them, and do not do so through the forums.

This race is unfortunate for those who had raced by the rules. Those who mis-behaved, tried to bend the rules, and those with illegal cars, please take this message as a warning.

Thank you for reading this, and please dont hesitate to send me a message if you have any queries. Remember that the role of the BGTA is to promote fun and fairness within our championships, and that we do not take this decision lightly. We would encourage you to make any changes in time for the next round, so that all involved can enjoy the competition on a level playing field.

On behalf of the BGTA,

Marchie.
