There will be two titles up for grabs throughout the season. Drivers' Championship and the Team Championship. The Driver's Championship will be a competition for all competing drivers and the winner will have the highest points score at the seasons end. The Team Championship title will be awarded to the team who has acquired the highest overall points score throughout the season.
The points for placing will follow the BTCC format as listed below:
Drivers Points are awarded to the top ten finishers in each race thus: 1st – 15 points; 2nd – 12; 3rd – 10; 4th – 8; 5th – 6; 6th – 5; 7th – 4; 8th – 3; 9th – 2; 10th – 1.
In addition to the base point system, the top five lap times from each race day will be awarded points as follows: 1st, 5 pts.; 2nd, 4 pts.; 3rd, 3 pts.; 4th, 2 pts.; 5th, 1 point.
The Team Championship will be won by whichever team has accumulated the highest overall score between its two named drivers over the course of the season.
R.E.W.A.R.D.S. System: Rewarding of Equalizing Weight Assigned to Reduce Driver Sensitivity, commonly referred to as “REWARDS Weight,” is a weight equalization system based on the addition and subtraction of ballast weight based on the finishing position of individual drivers in the previous race(s). The goal of the REWARDS System is to provide close on-track competition between a diverse variety of cars in the top third of the field. REWARDS System weight adjustments are in effect for the next race in which a driver competes in the same class.
For the Forza2 BTCC we will reduce P.I. in compensation for the weight penalty. The positions that allow the P.I. addition can only be used on cars that currently have a REWARDS handicap as the 750 P.I. max still cannot be exceeded.
1st Place: -30 P.I.
2nd Place: -20 P.I.
3rd Place: -10 P.I.
4th Place: +/- 0 P.I.
These penalties will be adjusted by event, and will therefore be based upon the drivers standings. Not until the 2nd event will we see handicaps issued and drivers affected will be given 5 days notice that changes must be made to their car.
All the above rules will be enforced by the viewing of all telemetry and forcing in-game options to ensure all rules are properly abided by.
