Streward's decision: Sebring: Round three.

Taking all the video evidence and the telemetry and the telemetry available, the stewards consider that the contact between GR33N and Chucky constitutes fundamently a racing incident.

From the chase cam it is possible that GR33N may have braked earlier than anticipated which may have led to the accident. The contact in both incidences is pretty hard and were damage to have been on sim I doubt either car would have escaped lightly. The stewards understand that certain corners are taken with varying velocity, that series is one such example. However, it is up the drivers to judge the speed of those around them and act accordingly.

Driving standards need to be considered here too. The initial contact happened a couple of turns earlier where GR33N made quite heavy contact with the rear of Chucky 1982. This occured again at the same spot very late in the second race resulting in jenson09 losing a podium position.
Whether you feel you can outbrake an opponent or not, it is up to YOU to judge the situation and drive respectfully. Obviously accidents will happen but these can be reduced if every driver pays attention to the situation around them and WATCHES FOR CARS BRAKE LIGHTS.

No penalty will be issued on this occasion to either driver but driving standards will be looked at extremely closely at the next event due to the high number of incidents at Sebring.

I feel this is being a good decision made by the stewards here me and gr33n could have both been penilized for both incidents

Like I've said, I'm fairly easy on contact but when it gets serious or frequent I will step in and punish drivers.
Another person viewing the data MAY have come to another decision but I feel that its fair to say that no malice was intended here so theres no need for reprimands.

That being said, I WILL e looking at driver standards CLOSELY at Laguna because we had so many crashes this time out and we've just not had this problem before.

Thanks for your co-operation on this matter guys.

im guessing around 10 maybe but some of them were cutting the corner when someone was there or another one someone tried to pull out while starting to get overtaken, then start of race 2 like mugello ended up in a restart and the few shunts up the ass (or for us brits "arse")

I did note a couple of drivers cuttig the corner onto the back straight in particular, guys, treatthis like REAL racing, you wouldnt get away with it there and don't forget we save and review the races so we know if you have or not.

Bottom line and the end of this matter is that if driving standards remain like they were at Sebring then sanctions will start to be taken. Take this as a warning to all concerned.
