Welcome to to GRID Open Wheel Championship.!!

This is where you can let your hair down and take a break from the World of Forza. The whole idea behind this championship is to have FUN.Whether you take part in each race or not .The rules ,as such are simple.

1. Each round will take place once a week on Thursday night at 8pm .I will be opening up the lobby around 7.45pm.We will only wait a MAX of 10 mins before starting qualifiying. anyone who is late into the lobby and misses the qualifying session will have to start from the back of the grid.

2. All driving aids will be switched OFF ! (so all you guys who thought the game drove on rails ..think again ! )You can use either manual or Automatic transmissions. There will be absolutely NO CORNER CUTTING to gain an advarntage, but that I mean repeatedly flying across grassed areas not jumping across rumble strips.Anyone seen repeatebly doing this will be penalised.SEE PARAGRAPH 6 FOR DETAILS REGARDING CORNER CUTTING.

3. All races will be 20,30 or 40 laps , depending on the length of the circuit, apart from the Last race ( see the season track rundown to see why ! )

4.Races will be limited to only one lobby(12 drivers only) who must post their entry by no later than 7.30pm the night of the race.If we get a lot of interest and more people wanting to race we may run 2 championships side by side, but this will be dependent on how many people want to race.So for now it will be based on one lobby. If anyone drops out at the last minute and makes a place available i'll offer it to whoever is available at that time who wanted to race and couldn't .So keep an eye on the race line up thread because i'll update it as soon as someone drops out!

5. There will be a Qualifying session before the main race which goes as follows ...so your all clear.(YOU WILL NEED A PEN AND PAPER READY TO WRITE YOUR BEST LAP TIME DOWN !! IT WILL ONLY BE ON SCREEN FOR 3-4 SECONDS AFTER YOUR 1st FLYING LAP!!)
Qualifying will consist of 5 laps..
#One warm up lap
#One flying lap( Remember to right down that BEST lap time once you've crossed the line!!!!)
#One warm up lap
#One flying lap( Remember to write down your best lap time,This will only appear if you beat your FIRST HOT LAP TIME!
#One IN lap. STOP before crossing the line to make sure everyone has completed there 2nd Flying lap. Then all back to the lobby.

We then ,as in the GT series submit our best lap times for me to sort out the grid order. If you failed to write down your best lap time, you'll have to start from the back of the grid, this is only fair on the other drivers.I then(or whoever is hosting) quit the lobby and invite you all back into the main race lobby.
Now this is the clever part....I will read out the grid order so..Whoever set the fastest time ready's up first! Second fastest ready's up second and so forth. The game will then set the grid up in that order.
I will make sure everyone is clear with this on the night.
** Qualifying for the end of season Le Mans race will be based on your best lap time you set online during Testing up until the deadline for entry( 7.30pm the night of the race)You can do this by going to the MY CARS in the career menu and choosing the correct car( LMP1) and going to Test Run.So you have plenty of time to set a lap time.

6.There will be no stewards inquiries as you can't save the replays so everyone will be expected to race as fair as possible. If anyone spits there dummy out and climbs out of their pram ranting and raving, your taking the game too seriously and risk being disqualified from the race.On the cutting corners issue,I want to make this clear, you are allowed to drive over the chequered rumble strips on the corners as long as you keep 2 wheels on the track. You are Not allowed to drive over the green astro turf inside of the rumble strips there by cutting across the corners(especially during qualifiying to gain extra time) .Anyone seen doing this repeatedly in qualifiying or the race will either be disqualified or penalised by a 10 point deduction. As there is no way of checking replays I reserve the right as the organizer to make a judgement solely on what I witness in the race. However If a third party witnesses any cheating they must report it to me AFTER the race in which I will deal with it appropriately. Finally I would ask all competitors to abide by these rules which will make it fair for all,any repeat offenders witnessed by more than two competitors will risk being disqualified from any future races.

7.Damage will be switched off, simply because most people will probably be wrecked before the end of the race and I want everyone to have a fair chance of winning.

8.The scoring system will be ,12 points for 1st,11 for 2nd and so on down to 1 point for 12th place( if there are lass than 12 in the lobby 1st will still get 12 points ,2nd 11 points and so on.)

9. Race Restarts...In the event of any competitor losing connection during the race, the race will be red flagged and restarted for the remaining laps in the order of running when the competitor dropped out.If the competitor fails to rejoin the race because of technical problems they will be awarded last place with the appropriate points for that position.

*************************************************************

If you have any queries ,post and i'll endevor to sort it out and amend where needed.

Finally I'd like to say to all who take part,Have fun and race hard !!
