Features....

Postby jenson09 on Wed Jul 16, 2008 7:23 pm

As you know the website has a new look and we are looking for new features to add to it.

The sort of things we would like are:

1: Team Backgrounds (giving a short bio of your team's history and maybe a timeline)

2: Driver Info: other than that required before on the old site.

3: Track histories: Know alot about certain real tracks used in the game? Write up a piece on it and send it in

4: Car features: passionate about a certain marque or car? write up a feature on it

5: Set up advice: Particularly good at setting up cars? Tell us how.

This is just the start but hopefully we can get as many people involved as possible. We really want this to be a community piece, something you can all be proud of.
Feel free to send in pictures to back up your work, or indeed pics from recent championship races to help with the race reports.

So come on.... get writing and posting!!!

Yes, this is one of the things that WILL be happening. I was going to do them, but it would be good if someone else wants to do them. Post here if you do!

Hi ppl,

Selective Rogue here.

Really looking forward to the race on Sunday 20th July @

Road Atlanta -

The Atlanta circuit is 1 of my favourite. The short climb after turn 1 is a test for the torque of the engines and then the esses, down the hill great if you got your gear ratios tuned. Then down to 1 of the hardest corners to judge; turn 5, to fast and you end up off the track and you don’t carry enough speed down to 6 and 7. Once you nail 7. Its a long hard speed dash down the back straight (almost like lemans). Then its hard on the breaks to the final chicane. Then a simple dash to the start and finish.

Jet Alliance -

After a late start in the season due to sponsor issues we have made a great progress in rounds 3&4.

We are looking to capitalise on the consistency of the DB9.

I am looking forward to another great race and hoping to beat some Ferraris and maybe the odd Porsche.

Rogue out.

Hi everyone.
I suppose I would consider myself the veteran of the Championship and of racing games in general.Although not the oldest gamer I know ,at 41 I've seen racing games come from the good old days of the arcades in the early 80's to present day with the consoles and PC's ruling the gaming side of the sport.I suppose it all started for me as a kid with good old scalextrix which i inherited from my uncle who had all the old 60's classic cars from the GT 40 to Stering moss and Jackie Stewart era.I grew up in the James hunt and Nikki Lauda era and had all the cars but my favorite was always the JPS Lotus,Wish I still had it.As a fan primerally of F1 When racing finally came to the home console I couldn't resist and bought the Mega Drive and in 1989 the game that started the ball rolling for me came out, that game was the groundbreaking Ayrton Senna's Super Monaco Grand Prix II.An absolute classic to this day.

After this period I took a break from the world of racing games to concentrate on Family and career and it wasn't until the launch of the Playstation that I would come back and sit behind the virtual wheel of a racing car in yet another Milestone in the history of racing games,Gran Turismo, then Gran Turismo 2 on the PS2.It wasn't until XBOX live when I raced human opponents that I got the BUG for online racing .I never was the fastest racer ,and now at my age with slower reaction time I guess I never will be ,but it hasn't dampened my enthusiasum and love the games.Probably ,for me,the greatest online racing game of all time has to be TOCA 2 and 3,Toca 3 comming at the end of the first xbox era which was a shame. I used to run mini championships on Toca 2 with my friends and had some epic battles.
So I hope this has given you all an insight into where i came from.I certainly haven't played racing games as much or as seriously as some of you guys, but I certainly intend to keep playing and staying involved as long as I can do.

Clay.

If anyone has any newsworthy stuff they'd like us to add to the site as part of the event programme feel free to post here. I'd guess M+M Racig and Ultimate are the main headlines at the moment.
