Team Modena Lambo

Postby Jimmy Storie on Tue Mar 11, 2008 2:09 pm

After Sundays race I thought i'd ask if anyone out there wanted to race in a team with myself??? It would have to be in a Gallardo, and i'll share my paint, upgrades & tuning setups.

I'm not fussy who I just really would prefer to be in a team of two, maybe i can teach you a thing or two??

I reckon its a decent enough offer that both of us could benefit from, if theres any interest let me know, either through this forum or on XBL.

Cheers

I bet there would be a few ppl jumping at this offer I reackon you should do a try out aswell so lets say 5 ppl wanna join you should give them a try out in a standred Gallardo on a track and post a time they have to reach to get past that try out. I think that would be better then me just coming alone and going I will join then you have me but I end up being rubbish and you regrating it.

just an idea for ya

I like that idea, probably will do something like than then if the interest justifies it. I'm not looking for anyone special, i'm far from it myself, so in all honesty i'll be happy with anyone. I reckon i can help someone get to my level, aslong as they can spare a couple of hours.
Anyone interested let me know. I'll mark you down for a spot Chucky :)

BTW i'm sure there's nothing stopping other ppl changing to the Lambo, IMO its one of the better cars, being 4wd and all, but different strokes for different folks as the saying goes. :D :D :D :D I call DIBS on 2nd Lambo ( for my team ), if thats OK????, leaving only 2 for others to use.

Have to say I have a Gallardo but I chose to give myself a difficult time! After you passed me at the last race I'm not ashamed to say I wept a little bit :(

Fantastic car and a possible choice for THR's season 2 campaign lol.
And yes you can call dibs on a second one for now.

Congrats on a highly successful 1st meeting for you jimmy

I think i made the right choice with the Lambo, not the first car i tried though. I was torn between that and the Beemer, but I prefer the better handling to outright speed.

Probably due to the excessive hours spent playing Forza I've learnt how vital a good start is. I knew that if i got the holeshot i'd be in with a good chance, and i proved that right on Sunday. 4wd helps but its not a true 50 / 50 split in torque, i've got it only 15% to the front so it is more of a rear wheel drive.

I gather with the rules i wont be allowed to take anyone under my wing :( , unless its someone totally new, so, next season Chucky, we'll give it a bash.

Thank you all

Jimmy

I must try out the lambo as I only really get on well with the mustang type cars I just get on with them really well might be cos not as fast as the other cars but Im happy with it but will upgrade a lambo to 930pi and try my hands at setting it up then see how I fell with it

Team Modena Lambo is no more.

Since i decided to team up and after reading the rules, i will now be running a different team. Same car but now with TLM Superstar also racing under the same colours in his chosen car, the Monaro.

Understandably i will forfeit any team points accumulated and do not expect to be considered in the team standings. Hopefully this will not cause any trouble.

All that will happen is that Team Modnas points will remain on the listings but obviously any further points you accrue will go to your new team.

Good luck with the new team.
