My New Baby

Postby BDR Marchie on Thu Aug 07, 2008 10:35 pm

Ok guys, i must admit, i am really really bad with big purchases. As soon as i see something i like, i just dont stop going on about it. Today was no different. I saw this car on auto trader;

http://search.autotrader.co.uk/es-uk/ww ... x_mileage=

...so, my parents took me down there to see it. Great car, and i was stunned. And so, after 10/20 mins, we agreed on £2200, and it is now MINE!!!!!

2001
47,000 miles
Not a single scratch/dent
CD player

ohhh, AND ITS MINE :D

Aren't i one lucky 17 year old :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

EDIT, pics to follow when i bring this baby home in a few days :D

You would be very surprised Culchi

This car is as good as new, well it looks and drives like it is. I would rather pay over £2000 on a nice car, than £1000 on an ok car

Has it got a full service history?

TBH, I think it's a decent price for a 2001 car considering it has only done 47,000 miles. 7 years old and done less than 50K? That's alright. My 52 plate 1.6s Leon has done 61,000 miles, and the average a year is what, 12,000?

If your Corsa is tidy, has a FSH, is confirmed at that mileage and has a full MOT and tax, then I think you did okay.
If in doubt, flat out - Colin McRae

i dont think it matters too much so long as you get a good life outa it. Oh and make sure that your parents dont get to "christen" it before you.
Well have to setup a track meet either in go karting or on a track day at some course someday now.

Yeah sure, that would be great.

Also, it had its MOT done yesterday, being serviced today and has a few months tax still. :D

Basically, this guy selling it to me is a multi-millionaire. He has 3 cars, he got his 2 daughters a car each, a car for his house keeper  , and is selling one (to me :P )

.....mega rich or what..... (Oh, and his mansion is amazing  8) )

The funny thing is.....im not even exagerating

I love just getting out and driving. Sometimes, when I finish a backshift at work, I drive past my front door and head out on to the bypass at Prestwick Airport. I bomb it up to Monkton, a wee village the other side of the runway, calm down and take it easy through the village, then rejoin the bypass and head home. Takes about ten minutes, but it's quite exhilirating and I really need it after a 10-hour shift.
