Postby Clay Gryphon on Thu May 15, 2008 5:37 am

Hi guys,
Ive entered with a 430 but this was a car I already had but like jenson I'm having trouble in the handling stakes .I dont feel confident in it which is effecting my times.I might go for another car with more grip and good speed .Any suggestions .......Ive got a grippy Exige but it lacks speed.

The main reason I had probs with the 430 in the end was that the settings I ran were way too stiff. I like abit of ovesteer bu not as much as I was getting in the end!!!
The 430 IS a fundamentally good car, I used to get amazing laptimes at Silverstone before I screwed with the set up! Don't give up on it just yet.
I can't remember exact setups Im afraid but ask Monk who ran a 430 last season, he may be able to offer you some help.
Failing that theres always the trusty web-based set up guides which Achill has a link too somewhere in this thread.
Do you want to go faster?

You could try Monk - he ran one in season one & was fast in it (although I don't think he liked it either...)
